Keep Sofa Looking Good

Fluff the upholstery – Just like the pillows in your bedroom need to be fluffed from time to time to get back in shape, the seating cushion on your sofa needs the same. Make sure you are fluffing them regularly to maintain their shape. Fluffing would only take about two minutes of your life. Vacuum clean the body – The small spaces in your sofa body become a sleeping place for many objects. The best way to take out all these objects is by vacuuming the body of your sofa. From your long lost ring to the cap of your ketchup bottle, you will be surprised to see weird things resting in there. When cleaning the upholstery, use the dedicated upholstery attachment that came with your vacuum cleaner. Remove stains from the seat – If you or any member of your family has accidentally spilled something on the seat, don’t panic, put a mix of warm water and dish washing liquid on the affected area using a damp cloth. Rinse the area with a clean damp cloth and let it dry on its own. Do not rub on the stain as it may make it harder to remove. Sprinkling some

House Plan 3D Prints

Immediate understanding of how home will sit in neighborhood. A traditional blueprint home plan fails to convey a sense of how a new house will fit into its surroundings. In contrast, a 3D print of a house plan will immediately describe such elements as property topography, surrounding open space, and landscaping opportunities. Cut Costs and Construction Time. It’s not unusual for miscommunications to arise when using a traditional two-dimensional house plan. And communication slip-ups nearly always result in costly mistakes. For instance, if a contractor has a hard time understanding the location of a certain plumbing core, he might make a mistake or two which must be corrected later. In contrast, with a 3D model of the house plan, all involved parties can quickly answer their own questions simply by looking at the model. Most 3D home models are built in parts, so that obstructive elements may be lifted away to show underlying structures. Moreover, 3D home plan models can include the kind of detailed information that contractors need. All of these characteristics mean that a 3D print of your house plans will probably save you construction time and money. Foster Creativity. Being able to see a three-dimensional model of

Renovation Essentials

Understand the scale and scope of the job you want done. When you talk to the trades person on the phone, you’ll want to brief them as clearly as possible before you expect them to turn up to quote. Details are important. You’ll want to know as much detail about what you are asking for, the materials you need and the end-result you want to have when you’re finished as you can. You should look for at least two or three quotes before you agree to go ahead with a job. Be as reliable as you expect the tradesman to be. Follow the old “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” rule. Turn up when you agree to. Pay them according to the terms and conditions agreed to before beginning the job. Some smaller trades will only take cash or check and may require payment on the same day. You should check this type of information upfront. If it is a larger job, it can require a more complex contract with payment installments. It isn’t easy to find a good tradesman. Investing time to source a good local plumber and electrician will be worth it. One

Soapstone Resists Heat

Soapstone is a metamorphic rock that was naturally formed in the earth by incredible amounts of pressure and direct heat. The stone began in a molten form between layers of earth deep under the surface. Because of this intense and natural forming process of soapstone, it is capable of withstanding almost any amounts of heat as a countertop or fireplace surround. This unique characteristic of soapstone makes it ideal for placing hot pans from the stove directly onto the countertop without over-heating the surface or being concerned about breakage, cracking, or permanent damage to the stone. For the same reasons it is a great choice for a fire surround and hearth because it can even hold up to fire. Soapstone absorbs this intense heat and then distributes it through the stone allowing the surface to remain touchable. The cool-down time is gradual and the heat disperses slowly, which prevents quick temperature changes from hot to cold. Dramatic temperature changes in other materials such as metal, wood, or even granite can diminish the quality of the material over time. Soapstone holds up to temperature changes well and maintains its quality with daily wear and tear. Soapstone is commonly used as kitchen

L Shaped Sofa

For a living room, a corner sofa is probably the easiest and simplest idea that one can start off with! Arranging a small sofa in a compact space with a pair of other chairs can make the room feel stuffed, and not to forget those little spots of other furniture all over the place. But one great corner sofa that accommodates all seating in one dive can actually make a small room feel more elegant and gracious. It performs multiple tasks by defining space, accommodating guests with plenty of seating for everyone and providing space to stretch out for a short nap! But there is no as such criteria or a thumb rule that L shaped sofas are designed for small living rooms only, just because every space in that room is precious. These sofas can work precisely well for bigger living rooms too! “It’s a good idea to spend time deciding what you really want. A rushed decision could mean you’ll end up with that little something missing, which keeps your sofa from being the safe, warm and cozy center of your living room that it can and should be,” says Rebecca Snowden a famous interior designer! So, while

Prepping To Paint Home

Scrapping and Sanding Use a putty knife and wire brush to remove damaged paint. A sharp pull scraper can be used for larger areas. This can remove any old paint down to the surface underneath. When dragging perpendicularly across, be extra careful not to gouge the wood. Once you’ve removed the unnecessary old layer of paint here and there, smooth out the surface with sandpaper. To avoid exhausting yourself, use an electrical orbital sander for more thorough results. Avoid using an electrical disc sander or sander belt which can cause unevenness on the wood. Melting and Liquid Paint Remover If the layer of paint is too thick for manual scraping, melting it can be more effective. With the use of an electric paint remover, heat the paint and remove it as you go with its built-in scraper. Wear thick gloves to protect you from burns. As a last resort, use a liquid paint remover to strip away paint. Although effective, it can be costly, especially if you are working on a rather large area. It can also easily spill over perfectly good paint, damaging it and leaving you with more areas to retouch. Priming Once your surface has been striped,

The vanishing point is always along the horizon line. X and Y axes – The X and Y axes are the horizontal and vertical lines in your 2D plans. In 1 point perspectives, all lines, whether it it from the x or y axis will always go to the vanishing point.
